….it detracts me from the now! 

This is one of my favorite quotes, which is from the Pixar animation film The Incredibles.  Whew, I don’t know about you, but 2011 for me was full of lessons.  You know, the ones that kinda hurt, extremely humbling, and, at times, a bit horrifying.  As this year comes to an end, I embrace the lessons, put them in my pocket, turn around and look towards 2012.

So far the new year is looking rather promising!  On the job front, I have picked up a few more freelance gigs. First, I am working with Cincy CoWorks which is co-operative work place for freelance, entrepreneurs and solopreneurs.  I am a freelance trainer for WebMediaUniversity.com, which my area of expertise is on-line video production and Youtube.

Also, I’ve been focusing a lot of energy on building a film organization, the Midland Film Institute.  We are producing the film component for the 2012 MidPoint Music and Film Festival.  My board and I are looking forward to creating a platform that will showcase the indie filmmakers as well as the indie rockers!

Yep, some may think the world is coming to an end in 2012, but I say, it is gonna be one heck of a ride!
